Album Quilt created by members (men and women) of The Federated Church Society of the Union Church of Northeast Harbor in 1900. Presented to the church in 2000 by Connie Seavey. This Object Id # also includes a framed list of all of the signers of the quilt and a short explanation of the provenance and history of the quilt and the ownership of it.

Embroidered picture of the Rev. John Roger’s tomb under a willow tree in a dark wood frame with a gold border. Inscription of headstone reads, “ Died Oct 6th, 1782. Rev. John Rogers he is not dead but sleepeth”. Sewn by Sally Trask. On the back of the frame, “Given to me by my mother as a wedding present CFM”. See object file for more information. 1860

Description:
Blue linen (?) sampler, approx. 10" x 12" done in 1806. Stitches are in red and yellow thread, but colors may have faded; red stitches remain most true. The fabric is faded and there are holes at the corners. Made by Judith Somes in 1806. She was born September 16, 1796, married Capt. Eben Babson Sept. 11, 1815, and died Nov. 4, 1880. She is buried in Brookside Cemetery.

Description:
Patchwork and embroidered quilt. Embroidered inscription reads, "When this you see / Remember me/ Athalaney Fly/ Mouonldefort [Mount Desert]/ August 26, 1824/ Aged 7 years / 3 months." Athlaney was the daughter of Patty Somes Flye and James Flye; she died at the age of 18 and is buried in the Flye Cemetery in Tremont.
