Ten (10)drawings in total. 2012 exhibit text: Bar Harbor Fire Station Bar Harbor, ME, 1910 Ink on linen The Gerrish Collection, MDI Historical Society The Fire Station is a very functional building with four arched openings for equipment and a functional tower for drying the hoses. The tower, unfortunately truncated in the 1950s, was the most striking element of the design giving the building a powerful presence on the town green. Observe the sign-off by the building committee on the elevation drawing. This large scale rendering of an entry canopy bracket for the Fire Station is a fine rendered detail.
