Description: Narrow neck. Design on side - two pistols crossed, stars, eagle carrying spears and shield, two flags, 16 stars, cannon balls and anchor. Similar to those made by the American Flask and Cap Co. during the 1850s.
Description: Wooden cap nailed on each end. Marked G. Freeman 1770, H.G. Somes 1870. Donor info - this is the well known Somes Powder horn. Morris Somes was to be the next to sign.
Description: Leather shot bag bound around neck of green glass bottle. Neck stuffed with hemp. Dark brown leather. Edges stitched together. Small worn patch.
Description: Patchwork and embroidered quilt. Embroidered inscription reads, "When this you see / Remember me/ Athalaney Fly/ Mouonldefort [Mount Desert]/ August 26, 1824/ Aged 7 years / 3 months." Athlaney was the daughter of Patty Somes Flye and James Flye; she died at the age of 18 and is buried in the Flye Cemetery in Tremont.

Description: Very small purple beaded purse with chain and ring, perhaps for carrying on one's finger. Found in apartment of building that housed the old general store in Seal Harbor.

Soles worn, especially on right shoe. Marked inside: "39 1 24649 1 Class 1222 957". Toes have inset piece of a second brown letter with stitching along border . Description: One pair of Mrs. Day's IDEAL Baby Shoes, Size 0. Creamcolor. Cream lace edging around front part of opening for foot. Ribbon ties. 3 1/2" long by 1.75" width. Some discoloration but still in good condition. Original box is included. a lock of is hair is also in the box in paper. These shoes belonged to Steven Joseph Carvajal.
Description: White fabric belt and yellow metal Grand Army of the Republic buckle and clasp, with five-pointed star with seal and letter GAR on the buckle. Clasp at end of belt. Fabric has yellowed, but is in good condition. This buckle belonged to John Willman Smith of Prett Marsh. He served in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Civil War.
