Certificate of ordination as Priest in the Episcopal Church, Diocese of California, for William Thomas Manning. December 12, 1891. Certificate is handwritten and bears the seal of the Diocese of California. Manning owned The Mount Desert House in Somesville, where he and his family summered. Manning later became Bishop of the Diocese of New York. Paul Stubing indicated that this photo was taken on the Bernard shore . Paul Stubing said this is a George Neal photo. The vessel, Palestine, is not known or identified in other ways. More information about this photo is needed. It appears that this was an old photo and Ballard probably made a glass negative of the photo. Rights to use the photo are unknown.
