Large gold-framed photographic portrait of Mary Ann (Norris) Holmes (1814-1898), wife of Leonard Holmes (1814-1894); mother of Emma Amelia (Holmes) Allen (1859-1929) and Leonard Elrie Holmes (1857-137). Mary Ann and Leonard were married in 1837. Emma Amelia married Melville Leighton Allen. Leonard Elrie Holmes married Mary Ellen Rosebrook.

Green Mountain Railway. Looking down tracks to Eagle Lake. Logs lie to left of tracks. Marked W.H. Ballard Collection Southwest Harbor, Maine. Also marked, “Green Moutain Railway By Bryant Bradley. Circa 1883. Bryant Bradley was born near 1840. His wife’s name was Ellen. She was born near 1847. Their son Harry born around 1876 became a photographer also. His father died by 1900 and Harry had taken over the studio.

His wife’s name was Ellen. She was born about1847. Their son Harry born around 1876 became a photographer also. His father died by 1900 and Harry had taken over the studio. Mounted on cardboard.
