Description: Steamboat Norma. Built by Lawley of Boston, early 1890s. Purchased in late 1890s by Dwight Blaney of Ironbound Island of Bar Harbor. Sold to Captain Fred Haynes (Hays) of Bar Harbor for use as a sightseeing boat in the 1940s. Steam powered launch. Carried captain, engineer, and mate. Captain Sargent wintered in South Gouldsboro.

Description: Ready for the finishing touches.S.S. Acadia of the Eastern Steamship Lines being towed to her outfitting berth after the launching at Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Company. This ship was in service between New York and Yarmouth. It became a hospital ship during World War II. Local woman, Louine Lunt Peck, Army Nurse served on the Acadia. .

Martha Dudman says this is Warren Fernald. According to Paul Fernald, Warren Fernald's son, this man is not his father. Seems the original title is likely correct.
