Paper attatched to back of photo, “ An ‘air pine’ growing on a branch of live oak in a grove festooned by Spanish moss. Both air pines and Spanish moss are related to the pineapple. The air pine requires five or six years to mature, bears a clump of cream colored blossoms on a stiff stalk several feet tall, then dies.” [show more]
