Description: Certificate of Marriage for Capt. Joseph S. King of Tremont and Miss Addie V. Gilley of Tremont June 25, 187_ (last number of year is missing).
Description: McGuffey's Fifth Eclectic Reader (revised edition), 1879. Published by Van Antwerp, Bragg & Co, Cincinnati and New York. Donated to Sawtelle Collection, transferred to MDI Historical Society. Originally owned by a family in North Canton, Ohio.
Description: Published in New York by the American Bible Union, 32 Great Jones Street. Contains Rules for Doing Good, Lesson 1-the Alphabet, figures, words of two letters, words of three letters, etc. 128 pps.
Description: Agrees to allow his mother to use house which she occupies. Handwritten on paper that is browning. Maybe another copy of this document elsewhere in archive 5 box. She's to furnish her own tea, coffee, sweetening, and wearing apparel and pay her own ?

Description: Small 4*3in book, leather with autographs of individuals on the island in 1879. Belonged to Willie Heath of Seal Cove Maine. Many have faded but as of 2013 are still legible.

Inscription on back reads “Lamson child. Lamson baby from Cuba” (written in two different hands). Also stamped on back, “Taylor e Lamson, Photographos de Nueva York.”
